Can`t find 1997 f150 blend door actuator?

I can`t find the blend door actuator on my 1997 ford f150 xlt extended cab 4.6L. Is it hard to locate . Removed glove box but not in sight anywhere. It is a stepside truck . Just want to know how to get to it as I have looked everywhere .I have the new actuator and it is black . Any help really appreciated. Can I get to it without full dash removal
